Here are a couple of videos that we took yesterday of our squirmy little man. He's SO close to rolling over!

Shot Day
We survived the first round of immunizations this morning. Garrett did really well and showed off his vocal capabilities for all the nurses. :-) He ate soon after they put the blue camo band-aids on his legs and then fell right to sleep...which is what he's doing right now and why I can type this with both hands! Here are a few pictures from today. Two are before and one is after. See if you can figure out which is which. Oh, and I almost forgot to list his latest stats. He is 11 lbs 14 oz and 25 inches long. Yes, 25!! He's in the 50th percentile for all measurements except his height which is off the charts. You know he didn't get that from me!! Altogether it was a good Dr. visit and we are extremely blessed to have such a sweet and healthy little boy. God is good!

Back to Work
This is week number two of being a working mommy. I don't have to tell you fellow mommies just how difficult it is to leave my baby for an entire school day. Thankfully our wonderful friend Sherry is caring for him which is SO much better (for Garrett and for my peace of mind/heart) than putting him in daycare for even just the couple of months I'll wind up working. He's doing pretty well adjusting to our different schedule so far and I really do enjoy my job and my students. So here are a couple of pictures from this last weekend. We had fun playing SuperBaby and shopping at the mall. Say a little prayer for us on Thursday morning as Garrett gets his 1st round of shots--ouch!! I hope neither of us cries too much.

Happy Easter from the Wells Family!
It was a wonderful family Easter. Garrett once again let us get a good night sleep. We went to the early church service. Garrett let Deanna hang out for most of the worship service too! We enjoyed Sunday Brunch. Although a little windy, it was a beautiful Spring day and we took advantage of it with this picture. Deanna and I are looking forward to watching the "Passion of the Christ" movie tonight as we celebrate God's love for us -- the real meaning of this wonderful holiday!
Ill-fated Advise
In this video, Nana attempts to persuade Garrett to choose a team other than the Dallas Cowboys. Alas, her attempts are futile. It's in his blood.
Garrett and Papa
Like the Easter Bunny hat? His mother had fun shopping at Target again . . . . Watch the video to hear Garrett and Papa enjoy an early bonding moment.
Garrett meets his Great-Grandparents
This week, Garrett took his first road trip. My Grandfather (Garrett's Great-Grandfather), Papa, turned 80 this week and flew with my grandmother from Texas to see all his relatives in North Carolina. We went down to meet them. This was the first meeting of his three sets of great-grandparents. Above is the generational photo -- four generations of Wells men! Garrett was a trooper during the family gathering and stayed awake and happy as he was passed from cousin to cousin. Deanna and I had a great time catching up with many relatives who we hadn't seen since we moved from North Carolina three years ago.

Back Together
I was away from Deanna and Garrett for the first time this weekend. My sister, Hillary, had a huge rugby game for Texas A&M in Colorado against the Univ of Colorado. And they won -- go Aggies!!! I missed the two of them . . . but they did just fine. Garrett somehow managed to grow even in these few days that I was away!! I got back just in time to watch opening day baseball with Garrett. You can see that we are both in our baseball outfits. His shirt says "Daddy's Team". We'll get him a Josh Hamilton jersey soon, I'm sure!

Two Month Video
You'll have to tilt your head to the left in order to really see this video properly. Oops! But it's worth it to see our little man smiling so sweetly. :-)
2 months old!!
Almost. Garrett will be two months old tomorrow...I can't believe it! We were actually able to get him to smile for his picture with the Airborne Bear this time. I was so proud. :-) For those of you who are wondering just how much he's grown, here are the latest stats.
At birth--7lb 6oz, 20.75inches
Today--10lb 6oz, around 22-23 inches
His current length is an estimate because I measured him at home and he is VERY wiggly! All I know is that he's too tall for a lot of his newborn outfits and the NB onesies are stretched to their limits lengthwise. The outfit he's wearing in these pictures is actually size 3 months! Grow, baby, grow.
