Tupperware!

Garrett is a big fan of our kitchen cupboards now. So far he's only dumped out the tupperware cupboard...but he had a blast and made plenty of noise! I ended up giving him a wooden mixing spoon so he could drum the mixing bowls to his heart's content. This is just one more rite of passage that our little man has now experienced. He's growing up so fast!!

(I tried rotating this picture so you don't have to turn your head awkwardly, but it didn't work!)

Side Note: These pictures were taken before I trimmed the hair around his ears. Can you see the wings of hair above his ears? No more. :-)

Oh Lucy...

Lucy has been getting herself in some interesting predicaments lately.

#1--She's been getting into one of our totes with blankets in it. This by itself isn't strange, but the location of the tote IS strange. We have a large trunk in front of our fireplace (we won't be using the fireplace here) and on top of that trunk are 3 totes holding blankets and photo albums. Lucy must have jumped into the tote from the top of the couch because there's no other way she could possibly get in. Her main problem is that she can't get herself out of the tote. It's too high up for her to jump straight down and she can't get enough momentum to jump back to the couch. Her solution? Wait until we notice her in the tote then whine until we pick her up and put her down.

#2--Hopping in the bathtub with the baby. When Garrett was getting a bath the other night, Lucy decided it was her turn. Once in the tub she realized that it wasn't as much in there as she thought because he kept splashing her and trying to play with her. That was a super-quick doggy bath.

Toilet Paper Monster

Garrett and I were playing in his room today when he high-tailed it into the hallway like he's done a hundred times before. I step into the hallway after him to find our little guy in the pose below, looking oh-so-proud of himself. Thankfully, I cleaned our bathroom in the last couple of days! I'm sure this won't be the last time our t.p. ends up on the floor. :-)

Garrett is wearing some fun pj's and digging into his toy bin.

I just love the way he squats and kneels. His little feet are too precious!

Garrett met his Uncle Phillip for the first time last weekend. They had fun getting to know each other.

Garrett looks a little uneasy up so high, but he giggled anyway.

9 Months Old

Happy 9 Month Birthday Garrett! He got to "celebrate" by going to the Dr for his 9 month check-up. He's 28 inches tall, 17 lbs and a happy healthy baby boy. We tried to take his picture in the normal spot with his Airborne Bear last night and it didn't go so well. He didn't want to sit still or be next to the bear. So here are some pictures that give you a pretty good idea of how our photo shoot went.

Waving bye-bye!

Happy Halloween!

We had a pretty low-key Halloween since Mr. Garrett is currently teething again. We stayed home and dressed him up in his tiger costume and welcomed the trick-or-treaters. Even though he was coughing and cranky a lot of the time, he was still really cute. Here are some pictures from last night. Don't forget to scroll all the way down the video of the wild white tiger attack!
Princess Lucy!
The princess, the tiger and Jack Bauer. Sounds like one of Aesop's lesser-known fables to me.

Garrett loves sitting at his daddy's desk!

I call this our "Crouching Tiger" shot.

With Lucy's toy...yum.

Rolling his tongue...he loves his tongue right now.

No, we don't usually let him watch normal TV or be so close, but he pulled himself up right next to it while the news was on and this picture was too cute not to take.

Again, with the tongue. Everything is lickable.

Finding trouble, aka cords.

Hunting for more trouble.

Taking a break.

Lucy decided that she really liked Garrett's Great Pumpkin costume and curled up on top of it. This girl loves pillows of all kinds.
PS: Garrett wants to make sure we give his Aunt Hillary a Happy Birthday shout-out here on our blog. Hope you have a fabulous day today and don't worry...you'll never be as old as Russ. Ha! :-)
