Bluebonnet time!

Yes, folks, it's that time of year again here in Texas. :) This time around I had TWO little guys to try and capture on camera together. Ha! That's like trying to herd cats. Nearly impossible. But I tried and I got a few cute pictures. Enjoy!

They started off like this...

...then this happened...

...and this is what took place the rest of the time we were in the bluebonnets.

Clearly, Nolan does not mind being left alone in a field of flowers. Plenty to see and attempt to eat.

Here's a new seek-and-find for you: Where's Garrett?

He loved being up close with the flowers and dirt. And no, he's not a genius-baby trying to smell the flower, he's trying to eat it.

On our way back to the car, Garrett found a ladybug friend and had to have a chat. He was crushed when she flew away. The only way to revive his spirits was the promise of a ladybug-hunt in our own backyard.

Too funny...

Garrett at 7 Months  and   Nolan at 7 Months

They're doing the exact same thing in the exact same chair!! And the really eerie thing is that I have them both dressed in little navy blue shorts outfits.

Baby boy is 7 months old!

No longer can we simply put the little man down in one spot and walk away for a few minutes. He's mobile. He's not officially crawling yet but he can low-crawl (what I call the Army-crawl) and roll until he gets exactly where he wants to be. And he can get up on all fours like he's going to just take off crawling but he tends to flop after the first few seconds. It's only a matter of days, I think, until he figures it all out. No rush on my end! Here's this month's installment of Airborne Bear pictures and a couple videos of the man on the move.

Happy boy!

Checking out the bear.

Gimme that camera!!

Content for the moment...

...until he sees the boppy pillow on the bed...

...then he MUST have it!!

I was just trying to get a video of him low-crawling and this is what I got instead. :)

My boys

Garrett is showing Nolan the finer points of Angry Birds.

I love the way Nolan watches Garrett. I sense some copycatting in our future.

They're just so much fun together already!

Little man jumping up a storm.

The many faces of Garrett...this one is supposed to be "happy"

"sad"

"angry"

"surprised"

And now he's roaring at Nolan with a tiny little tiger.

Movin and shakin! He is so so so so close to crawling. He can roll around the whole room and has now added army-crawling to his repertoire. He literally crawled over to Garrett and yanked his lunch plate off his lap twice today. Apparently the nuggets looked that good. :)

Got coffee?

***I do NOT give coffee to my baby. Uncle Nate had some Nolan-sized mugs that are used for espresso and we thought it would be funny to take some pictures with it. His daddy DOES do coffee though. A lot.***

Road Trip!

The boys and I (Deanna, that is) took a quick trip to Little Rock this last weekend. My mom was visiting my sister and brother-in-law so we thought it'd be a good idea to bring the grandbabies to her for some snuggles. It was a jam-packed weekend with a trip to the Children's Discovery Museum, Krista's first baby shower, church and a trip to the park. Garrett loved playing some real-life Angry Birds and teaching Grandma how to play the game on her new Kindle. Nolan loved being held a little more than usual and being rocked extra long at bedtime. Thanks for having all us crazies, Nate and Krista!! We'll miss you guys when you're back in the land of Lincoln, but we're excited to meet Baby Boston in a couple months. :)

ANGRY BIRDS!!

In his own little Garrett-sized chair at the Children's Discovery Museum.

Up in the lighthouse! Garrett liked pushing the button to make the barge sound.

Checking out more of the little kids area.

Garrett was telling this guy "Eat your food!"

Building some ramps for the marbles. They had a really cool "tinkering" area.

Waiting for the drum ballet to begin.

 And here they are!

Nolan didn't know what to think of all those drums!

 Making shadow puppets with Grandma!

Building a bigger tunnel!

Look! We're on camera!!

Hooray for Baby Boston!!

Krista's church friends were so sweet and inviting (even though Mom and I were baby shower crashers!)

Showing Grandma how to work her new Kindle. He showed her youtube and Angry Birds and they watched a little bit of Bob the Builder together.

I had Nolan in the front carrier but he got chilly so I threw on Krista's jacket. As funny as it looks, it kept us both warm! (And those are Nolan's arms making the bumps on the front...just FYI.)

He did it! Garrett was a lot braver with the rock climber this time around.

Teeter-tottering with Grandma.

And riding on the "boat" with Nate and Grandma! He loves rocking the boat!
