July!

July was busy for us as well, starting with a trip to San Antonio. Russ's Nana was beginning her time with in-home hospice care and we wanted to spend a little time with her while she was still her sassy self. Hillary was there visiting too and she spoiled us with a day at Sea World! The boys (and the grown-ups too!) had a blast seeing all the sea animals and the Elmo Rocks show. I have to say that I loved seeing baby Shamu and the baby sea lions. So cute! Our trip happened to be over the 4th of July, so we watched the local parade and later went to the downtown area to catch some fireworks. I'm including some random pics too, that just highlight life in the Wells house on a normal day. We ended the month with a trip to an indoor safari park. What this means (because I sure didn't know what that meant!) is that there were play areas and some robotic animals for the kids to ride. Oh, and a train ride. If we didn't have a groupon, it wouldn't have been worth it. :) But the kids had fun for a couple of hours and took a nice nap afterward. I call that "success."

Sea World!!

Garrett and Aunt Hillary traded glasses...doesn't he look like the kid from Jerry Maguire??

Garrett was SO excited to see the sharks!!

This poor little guy passed out right before the Elmo Rocks show started. We did wake him up to see it, though, because he loooves Elmo!

Fourth of July fun!

Garrett found some buddies to hang with at the parade.

Superhero time! Running to the pool...

I'm not sure why this was so thrilling for them...it went around in a circle the size of our living room. But they both wore this expression the whole time! :)

June!

So...I'm back. Kind of. :) No promises on how often this gets updated. Life gets fast and furious and at the end of the day I'd rather snuggle with my hubs than open up the laptop to write a blog post. But I do love documenting the adventures (and sometimes MISadventures!) of our boys, so here we are. June flew by with a lot of trips to the park and a fun outing to Hamm's Orchard where we got to pick some plump blackberries. Thankfully, this was a pretty mild summer by Texas standards and we were able to be outside a lot. My boys love summertime!

This picture is to document for my children JUST how messy they made Garrett's room, about once a week this insanity happens.
