Pumpkin Patch 2011

Over the last couple years, we've started a family tradition to go to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch right around my birthday. I LOVE this! In fact, that's all I wanted for my birthday two years ago...to go to a pumpkin patch with my husband and my baby boy. Back home in Illinois there's a local orchard called Tanner's and we would go there at least once every year during the fall season. The pumpkin patch isn't quite the same (Tanner's has the most amazing apple cider!) but it's gotten more entertaining as Garrett has gotten bigger. And I really love all the fun photo opportunities. :) This year it was super foggy and damp-feeling but we enjoyed having the place almost to ourselves for the first half hour! Here are a ton of pics that we took of our yearly pilgrimage to Flower Mound.

Garrett had fun posing with some of his favorite characters this year.

And here he is getting "measured" for the year.

Garrett was fascinated by the way the horses were eating "a whole pumpkin!!"

Nolan was traveling in style.

The fog was starting to lift!

Bounce bounce bounce...

Another fog picture

A rare picture of Mommy and Garrett

I love this pumpkin house!

Trying to get another "brother" picture

Petting Simba and then posing with Daddy and his Lion King friends

He was trying to move the big pumpkin but finally decided it was just too heavy. Even for him.

Peek-a-boo!

A foggy hayride for Daddy and Garrett

This is how we went from place to place...at a run.

Cute, they are. (Imagine that in a Yoda voice.)

That's his silly face apparently.

Gman wanted to do this slide so badly. So we sent him up with Daddy. He liked it, but...

...had to do it on his own too!

"I did it!!!"

This is the pumpkin he and Daddy picked out to carve. (Mommy doesn't carve, she paints. Pumpkin guts = grossness to me.)

Nolan slept through the entire visit until he was placed in the cauldron. I can't really blame him for being a cranky-pants at this point.

Let's call this the "Seriously??" face.

Final picture of the morning...I had to try for one more brother shot. :) Try, I said.

Go Rangers!!

Anyone who knows my husband also knows of his love of sports. Specifically Texan sports teams. For the second year in a row, our Texas Rangers have made it to the World Series. And so we support our team as best we can, as you'll see in the pictures below. The series is currently tied 2-2 but we're hoping the Rangers pull off another big W tonight and win it all this time around. You can do it!!

Helloooo there!! You better be cheering for the Rangers...I'm watching you!

Nolan and his buddy Isaac were both sporting some Rangers gear. I love the man-hug Isaac is giving him (In the other pic he's trying to eat his ear I think!)

Looking super-cute in the baseball his Great-Aunt Chris sent him! Love it!!

Family picture in our sporty clothes. We were at a Rangers-watching party after a full day of celebrating my 30th birthday. Yes, I said 3-0. Yikes. But I'm blessed beyond reason so I won't complain about my first 30 years going by so quickly. :)

Nolan is TWO months old!

It seems like just yesterday I posted about GARRETT being 2 months old. Yikes. But yes, our newest little man is officially 2 months old today and had his well-baby visit and the accompanying shots. :( He's a trooper and is now napping in his swing. Here's how he's grown...wowza!

Birth:  8lb 1oz, 21 1/4 in
2 Months:  13lb 12oz, 24 in

I took these pictures yesterday since I had a feeling he wouldn't feel up to a photo-shoot after getting stuck with 3 different needles. :) Nolan is a sweet boy who loves to give smiles and graced me with his first giggle yesterday. We all love him to pieces, especially Garrett, who gives him hugs and kisses alllll the time. We're very blessed!

This is his "I'm done now" face. :)

Nolan meets more family ;)

We were lucky enough to have Russ's Nana, Papa, Uncle David and Aunt Susan come to visit last weekend to meet Nolan. The little stinker was so excited to see everyone that he hardly napped all day! But it was a good time and Nolan listened politely to his dear Nana trash-talking the Rangers and the Cowboys. (Notice I said he listened, not that he agreed...ha!) Here are a few pics and a video of our visit.
